Paul Bellamy
My name is Paul Bellamy but I answer to both Paul and Sam. I'm 51 and have been using Poser for about 8 years, starting with P4 Pro Pack.
I have been a graphics professional for over 20 years, mostly in 2D, using Photoshop and before that, Deluxe Paint on Amiga. I first discovered Poser when I was working for Infogrames - a games software company - on 3D projects. I found it fascinating and when I left the company I bought my own copy. I'm somewhere between hobbyist and professional in Poser, since I am not currently productive enough to make a living from selling products. I hope to change that sometime within the coming year.
Up to now, my main focus in Poser content was texturing but I have been building models for a while, using Wings. Several of my models are available for free download at Renderosity and at ShareCG. I have several projects in mind for models to sell but I don't want to give the game away until they are ready.
My main interests in Poser are SF and surrealism. Most pictures in my Renderosity gallery fall into these categories, although I have done the occasional nude and humour, sometimes combining the two. I am not as prolific as I was in the past, since I spend most of my time building models and testing them, rather than making pictures for my gallery. I used to think time disappeared when I was making renders. It goes even faster now.
The software I use for my 3D work is Poser 6, Wings, UVMapper Pro and Photoshop 7. I'd love to upgrade to Poser 2010 but my computer system is ancient and I can't yet afford to replace it.
